In addition to highlighting the portfolio of an artist, this site is an Internet art project conceived by Rebecca Hargrave Malamud, [The "DESIGNER"] and William Paul Gaetjens [The "ARTIST"], born out of a common interest in maps, memory, archives and annotation. The user interface has been designed around deconstructed elements from the artist's extensive body of work, with years of independent research and exploration in patterns and language. Upon this base, the DESIGNER and ARTIST are creating a toolkit and a language - consisting of icons, namespaces, color palettes and other cartographic constructs - upon which maps of new territories can be made.

The ARTIST and DESIGNER have agreed to release the core architecture of this site as open source. More details to follow.

This site and is a work in progress ... in the meantime, and most importantly, you can support the ARTIST by purchasing his work online.
